Our Thoughts

The North Face Recon is a small comfortable backpack made by a company known for its quality products.

You won't get a lot of bells and whistles with this bag but you can count on in this carry-on to last you a long time.

With only 30L of space, you'll have to be really careful with how much you pack, but that is why we one bag.

πŸ‘ Reasons to Buy

  • Top-notch weather protection.
  • Features a front pocket that offers a lot of organization which is also highly functional.
  • The shoulder straps are nicely cushioned and the back panel provides good ventilation. Very comfortable to use.

πŸ€” Things to Consider

  • The laptop sleeve could use some more padding.
  • The internal compartment can be too narrow for its depth so you might have trouble pulling things located at the bottom of the pack.

πŸ’¬ Reviewers Have Said

  • "This backpack has been one of the most durable and reliable bags yet. I previously bought my first RECON around 4 years ago for college. After many different uses for my previous bag. I am finally buying another one after needing a solid color for my new career. "
  • "This pack has some great organization and I like how the pockets are divided. I'm a forester and carry unique items but an iPad is on of them and there is plenty of space to store."

expertworldtravel.com

"If I had to pick one, I would pick the Recon, because of its lighter weight and its front elastic pocket. And I really like the fact that its laptop sleeve is in the main compartment."
