Our Thoughts

The Uniqlo 3-Way bag is a very versatile and stylish bag that can be a handbag, backpack, or shoulder bag. What I love is the extra modes on this bag don't require too much configuration. To switch some bags from a duffle to a backpack makes me feel like I'm assembling Ikea furniture with 23 pages of instructions.

The Uniqlo 3Way Bag is one of the smaller bags out there but is a fantastic value for the price. The bag is also extremely lightweight, so it is effortless to carry around.

The front pockets are an excellent size for tablets or smaller laptops. The unpadded front pockets could leave electronics a little exposed but since this bag is carry-on or personal item sized it should be easy to protect your electronics. The main compartment is a great size and will fit plenty of clothing.

Lightweight and Nimble

My favorite part of the bag is that the fabric isn't the heavy and bulky typical one bag fabric all other bags have. This bag feels as light and nimble as you want to be as a minimalist traveler.

I love my Tortuga Outbreaker, but that bag always feels like such a beast on my back. I mean the Tortuga is comfortable, and I wouldn't take anything else on the trip but compare to the Uniqlo 3 Way it just feels so heavy.

Packing space is a bit more limited with a smaller bag, but 3-5 day trips shouldn't be an issue.

Recent Updates

Recently, this carry-on was updated with the following improvements:

  • Added a pocket to store the shoulder strap.
  • Added a strap that can be attached to suitcases.
  • Removed the back mesh for a more water-resistant design.

πŸ‘ Reasons to Buy

  • It looks sleek and professional.
  • You can organize a lot of things inside the bag due to numerous pockets.
  • Quite cheap considering its quality.

πŸ€” Things to Consider

  • The long term durability might be in question but it would last with proper care and usage.
  • The orientation of some pockets can't be ideal in backpack mode.

πŸ”Ž Reviews

Uniqlo 3-Way Bag Review
packhacker.com

"It works well as a daypack—especially for those days that involve carrying around a laptop or swinging by a business meeting—but can also work for short trips if you’re a light packer."

Uniqlo 3way Bag Review
www.packingless.com

"In terms of usability this bag really surprised me. Although it doesn’t unzip totally flat, it unzips in a vertical manner which I actually found extremely useful especially when I needed to quickly access a certain item in my bag while travelling, walking or going through the airport security."
