βοΈ 38% (75/199)
This bag can be used as a carry on in 38% of airlines.
The peak designs travel backpack is one of the newest bags out there but has already racked up a lot of awards for being a quality bag with a lot of unique features.
The first cool feature is that the bag starts as the 35L bag but can expand into a 45L bag and collapse into a 30L bag. Bag size and weight restrictions change depending on your airline and destination, so having a bag that can changes sizes is great.
One thing I don't about my 35L bags is I can't use them for multi-bag trips because they are too small. Sometimes I need the extra 10L for ski gear or things like that.
Another important feature of the bag is the tuck-away shoulder straps and hidable hip belt. A lot of one bags are bundles of spaghetti with straps flying around when you move the bag around. I've seen bag straps get stuck on x-ray scanners or hit other travelers in the face. Not fun, ha.
I also want to point out this bag won a bunch of awards the year it was released. Best in Show at Carryology, Best in Show at Gear Junkie, and Best in Show at Gear Patrol in July 2018. That is very impressive.
"The Peak Design Travel Backpack is nothing short of genius. Its innovative features and design make it a stand-out in our mind..."
"All in all, I think the Travel Backpack and accessories are all excellent value for money, and a great investment for those who need a highly functional, good looking travel backpack which is built to last a lifetime."
"Overall, I really enjoy using this bag and think I'll be relying on it more to come in the future. The build quality is stellar, it's stylish but subdued and it offers a lot of possibilities in terms of approaching how you carry all your stuff with you."
"If you’re a serious traveler looking for a serious backpack, then you should definitely check out Peak Design’s Travel Backpack. Simply put, I think it blows other premium backpacks out of the water — even the Minaals, Outbreakers, and Nomatics."
"After using this bag on multiple trips including a weekend trip into the city, a multi-day car camping trip, and an extended trip via air travel, I can honestly say that this backpack can easily handle one bag travel and digital nomad life with ease, and it’s one of my favorite travel backpacks to date."
