Our thoughts
The Cotopaxi Allpa is a considerable IndieGoGo success for a reason. The Cotopaxi is probably one of the most durable travel carry on the market today. The unique aspect of the bag, aside from its pretty wild child style, is the built-in packing cubes and a super protective outer covering.
Hiking Roots
Cotopaxi, a company named after a volcano, has roots in the hiking industry. Their bag is designed with mobility and durability in mind. The straps on the Allpa are comfortable and keep the center of gravity on the bag nice and comfortable.
One nice thing about the Allpa is the smooth exterior. When your moving around little pockets and straps get caught on things. Without a million pockets and there is much less of a chance to have your bag catch on things.
Bags on Bags
The Allpa has a lot of different pockets to store your stuff. With main compartments, hip belt compartments, and little compartments in between, there is going to be room for everything.
One cool feature of the Allpa is that Cotopaxi offers packages of products that come with cubes, shoe bags, and laundry bags that fit perfectly in the compartments of the bag. I think this is a great feature because I've found packing cubes that fit well in one carry-on's compartments may not fit well in another. Really stinks when two medium cubes don't fit well and you're forced to use a small one and have some dead space.
