Patagonia continues to impress us. They took an already award-winning travel backpack and improved its durability with their Black Hole fabric, the same stuff used on their impressive expedition duffels and backpacks...The convertible nature of the Patagonia Black Hole MLC allows for the user to carry it as a backpack or a briefcase, making this a great choice for anything from airport travel to car camping trips.

There are some good organizational pockets along the outside of the pack, and the internal organization is quite innovative as well....The ability to overstuff it, though, earned the Patagonia Black Hole MLC the Best One Bag Travel Backpack for Overpackers.

For a travel pack that has a ton of features, great build quality, and can be that city travel pack or the outdoorsy companion you need, this is a great pick. Even more so if you are a loyalist to this brand. That said, if you're looking to an urban style, minimalist look, etc. - this won't be the droid you're looking for. With a view to its general performance, and as a long-time user of this bag, I can 100% recommend the Black Hole MLC 45L from Patagonia.
