Overall, I like the Hanover Deluxe and think both backpacks are good options to consider. I really appreciate the simple design, thoughtful organization, and how minimal they look. They seem well made, too, like they would stand up to the rigors of travel or everyday use. I’ll probably update this post in a year or more to let you know how my backpack has held up.

The Hanover Deluxe 2 is a perfect size for me. I almost always travel with a laptop, iPad mini and/or Kindle, noise cancelling headphones, some chargers, adapters, skincare (for the dry long-hauls), jewelry, socks, a scarf, a water bottle, etc. Although, I may experiment with traveling without the inner sleeve which does contribute to the ~2 lb weight.

I was honestly shocked how much I was able to fit inside this backpack. There two side pockets and one exterior pocket, plus the main compartment has a removable insert designed to organize all your stuff. I was able to fit well over 20 items, including multiple outfits, a pair of shoes, laptop, Kindle, and random electronics and toiletries, with ease. On top of that, the memory-foam shoulder straps are very comfortable, so much so that I almost forgot I was carrying 15-20 pounds on my back. I'm not sure I'll ever use another travel backpack if I'm being honest.

The Hanover Deluxe backpack is built with travel in mind. This Lo & Sons backpack is the perfect bag to pair with carry-on luggage because it’s just small enough to pass as a personal item but big enough to fit everything you need. And let me tell you, this bag is ultra organized. It has so many compartments and sections inside that allow you to fill your bag without it being a total mess and hard to access things. There’s two water bottle pockets on the outside AND on the inside (which I use to stick some camera lenses), there are padded sections for miscellaneous gear, and a removal laptop sleeve for up to a 15″ laptop. I love this feature because you can just remove the whole sleeve when you’re headed out and don’t need your laptop and free up a lot of weight and space in the bag.
