**Our Reply:**

.5 off is probably ok. Sometimes they'll ask you to put your bag into a container to see if your bag is within their Carry-On size restrictions. With a soft body bag filled with clothes it's easy to squish the bag into the container even if the dimensions are a little off.

Hey Van, I love my Tortuga and take it on a lot of domestic trips. Personally, I've never had a problem with it as a Carry-On but some airlines could be picky about it. It does seem very large when fully packed. My general advice is to under pack a little. If I really stuff my 35L full it won't fit into the Carry-On size things by the gates on airlines.
