The Aer City Pack Pro 2 is widely regarded as a refined update to an already strong everyday backpack. Reviewers note that Aer kept the durable build and thoughtful organization from the original while smoothing out the design with a sleeker silhouette and improved features. The addition of a second water bottle pocket, a more stable luggage pass-through, and cleaner lines make it feel like a polished iteration rather than a complete redesign. For many, these adjustments strike the right balance between practicality and aesthetics.

Materials and construction get consistent praise. The use of 1680D Cordura ballistic nylon, YKK zippers, and Duraflex hardware makes the bag feel premium and built to last, while optional lighter fabrics like X-Pac add variety. The harness system, padded straps, and breathable back panel are also noted for delivering comfort even during long commutes.
