## Our thoughts

The MLD Burn pack is designed for ultralight hiking. According to the MLD website. The MLD burn pack has been the "onebag" of choice for record-setting through-hikers.

A through hiker is somebody who walks extremely long trails of hundreds of miles. To set a record means multiple days of 20-30 miles hikes through woods, rivers, and mountains.

Airport security and baggage handlers are pretty rough with your luggage, but I can't imagine the wear and tear a through-hikers bag must go through.

I don't know much about ultralight packing or hiking, so I don't understand much about this bag. Can ultralight packs be carry on luggage? What would be the big difference between a one bag carry on and an ultralight bag?

### Reasons to buy

-   Highly durable and would last you a long time.
-   Weather-resistant that will keep your things safe when the weather changes during hiking.
-   The craftsmanship of this bag is really great with truly neat seams.

### Things to consider

-   The pack is a bit too narrow.
-   Might be too minimal. Only features three external mesh pockets and the main compartment.
